To keep insurance premiums competitive, a number of insurers either do not advertise on price comparison sites or work with cash back web sites. So to ensure you are getting the best deal you must get quotes from the following companies before making a decision!
How to switch car insurers
A good time to switch insurers is when your existing policy is about to be renewed as the paperwork is simpler. The only thing you will need to do is to provide proof of your current no claims discount to your new insurer.
Generally you can cancel at any time and you will be refunded the remaining part of the contract, less an administration fee. Always read the small print on your policy.
The car insurer will ask for the insurance certificate to be returned back to them so that they can process your refund.
Always make sure that your new cover starts when the old cover finishes. You don't want to be uninsured as driving the vehicle without insurance is an offence.

Car Insurance Cash Back
Is cash back worthwhile? Once you have decided which car insurance you want, then yes an extra £20 or whatever is on offer is worthwhile but it can take up to 90 days before you see the cash!.
It should be noted that in many instances cash back will not be payable as shoppers inadvertently click on another link prior to buying the car insurance, overwriting the tracking required for the cash back. This is discussed at length on Money Saving Expert
As a rule of thumb, the greater the cash back, the more you are over paying in the first place.
